Baby/Small Creature Transport
It can carry baby and small in its pouch to transport safety from one place to another and while mate-boosted, provides reduced food consumption. Keep in mind that the pouch provides no extra protection whatsoever so don't travel with low health creatures in dangerous areas!

The Procoptodon has the ability to harvest and from trees, and Thatch from big cacti on maps with them, and from bushes with the bite or kick attack. With another player in the pouch collecting resources, the rider can scout the area and check for any hostile creatures and can quickly make a getaway without having to mount up at all, so this is very useful on PvP servers.

Bosses
Its jump and ability to carry 2 tribe members at once allows it to reach the top of a mushroom in the Broodmother Arena and on top of the ruins on the Megapithecus Arena both on The Island, giving you a position to solo the Alpha and or take them down with very few tribe members and weaker weapons than usual.
Scorched Earth Travel Mount
The Procoptodon is one of the best mounts for transportation on Scorched Earth due to being fairly common on that map and the fact that the terrain there is flatter than on other maps.
