The Chalicotherium's rock throw does a lot of damage and knockback, if its combined with some turrets (Specially ) most of the enemy soakers will have difficulty getting close to the defenses of the base.

The Chalicotherium has good enough base stats to be a decent damage dealer creature, its rock throw attacks does 100 base damage, being along with the bite, the only attacks that do the same total damage as their stat precentage (Without including additional status effects).

Due to its massive damage per rock its possible to have a good breeding line in order to easily do extreme amounts of damage per rock hit to then intimidate the enemy tribe.

Although the Chalicotherium is surpassed by many other creatures in this area due to better abilities and/or statistics, it is still an uncommon but decent option to deal against bosses. Finally, it allows its rider to use weapons while mounting, making easier to finish targets badly wounded before they can escape.

The Chalicotherium has decent stats and is small enough to traverse most caves. Since most caves go from high to low, the Chalico's advantage of having the high ground is clear. It can throw boulders from a high point. You can also use ranged weapons on its back or grenades to aggro large groups of cave creatures.
