What it’s good at

Feathers for Breeding

Once per 24-hour cooldown (Or every 4 hours on Host-Local/Singleplayer), you can pluck a from the Gigantoraptor that improves the chance of babies being born with the higher parental stat; the feather will tell you which stat and what percent chance. To use the feather, place the feather in the inventory of the female dino you are breeding. The feather will be consumed after the female lays a fertilized egg or begins gestating.

Nanny

The Gigantoraptor serves as an excellent nanny-dinosaur for young creatures wild and tamed alike, making it a valuable creature for those who wish to imprint or otherwise simply raise their babies. The Gigantoraptor's saddle can hold up to two babies less than its own level, acting as a feeding trough for all baby stages similarly to the , and allows for both imprinting and bonding. It is important to note, however, that players must be riding the Gigantoraptor for it to feed the babies…

Mobile Hatchery

The Gigantoraptor can likewise hold and hatch an egg on each side of the . This will allow you to bypass the need for regulating the temperature of the eggs, such that you can hatch and eggs without needing or high-melee stat .

Wild Baby Tamer

Making the Gigantoraptor roar will allow you to spot wild baby creatures more easily; this gives the Gigantoraptor a temporary buff called Baby Call, which marks any wild babies with large pulsing pacifier icons over their heads. This buff lasts for 1 minute and detects babies within stasis range. While under the effects of this buff, the Gigantoraptor can imprint on orphaned wild babies, granting additional levels to the newly tamed dino.

Ground Transport

The Gigantoraptor is extremely fast when sprinting, both in and out of water. It also has the ability to glide long distances like a by holding down the jump button ().

Hunting Leader

The Gigantoraptor is a fierce fighter in and of itself, but when out and about with an army of adopted dinos, it becomes even stronger, and boosts the strength of its progeny. This is because of the Alloparental Pride buff, a stackable buff that cumulatively increases the damage output of the Gigantoraptor and attenuates incoming damage dealt to dinos upon which the Gigantoraptor had imprinted, which each aggregated stack, ultimately evolving into Alloparental Fury at 15 stacks…

Orbital Supply Drop Defender

A particularly potent example of this creatures effectiveness is showcased during the defense of Extinction's Orbital Supply Drops, where hordes of corrupted dinosaurs attack a supply pod in waves. Maximizing Alloparental Fury stacks will be trivially easy with the right setup, due to the quantity of enemy dinos. A pair of opposite-gender , benefitting from the 33% damage output/resistance buff of , the maximum Bloodrage buff of +175% increased damage, 15% damage…
